An easy step further

I had a little friend, she was just 8 years but we had a good relationship. I love to hear people experiences, even if it's really not an exciting one. I use to ask her about her day at school and would said ' gist me dear, tell me everything that happened today' she would gladly tell me everything in details.

One day, she came to me with  a sad face I was wondering what the problem was, tried to get her to talk but she couldn't, after several attempts she opened up it was about how she was been bullied at school. She was called fat in her class and peers didn't want to have her as a friend. I comforted her and told her been fat doesn't mean ugly or dull. How carriage and brilliance supercedes the former.

But I thought to myself 'why has my little friend chosen to tell  me instead of her mom or dad? And the answer came running through my mind " Communication ". Parents do not seem to realize how important it is for them to always communicate with their kids, which will help them a long way.
